Kumasi Hive set to Launch its Virtual Learning Platform.
Kumasi Hive, the Best Innovation and Tech hub in Kumasi is set to launch its virtual learning platform known as The Hive Academy on the 29th of January 2021 at the Hives event space while observing the COVID 19 protocols, whiles running a virtual session for people who are near and far but won’t be available physically to join online.
The project which is led by the Software team of Kumasi Hive is basically to give people the opportunity to add on a new skill set to the already existing expertise they have irrespective of their location. This they said will help people who are busy with their day-to-day activities still have some time to learn something new and pick up a new course.
Speaking to the Lead of the Software team, Mr. Kofi Kyeremateng he mentioned that The Hive Academy is an online platform (web and mobile application) that extends the already existing Training infrastructure and services of Kumasi Hive online with the intention of making the aforementioned infrastructure and services ubiquitous in reaching more users in a more convenient and self-paced way.
He further went on to say that, the training at the Hive over the years has been in demand but not everyone had the time to be physically present to participate. People outside the region with great interest in our sessions also have difficulty accessing our training resources. And even after training, some students also require access to some content like resources and community to keep them updated with the current trends. For the past year, the software team has been working on the platform to address such issues but the covid-19 breaking down most of the in-person training sessions also gave us the need to speed up with the development of the platform, he concluded.
The Hive Academy Platform will henceforth provide self-paced training for students and anyone interested to be able to upgrade their skill and knowledge set, most specifically within the area of Web and Mobile application.
The launch will also have representatives from MasterCard and Camfed join in the panel discussion.
